Thank you for visiting our website. Bottom up blinds is the only dedicated supplier selling bottom up roller blinds in the UK. Our blinds work by going from the bottom of the window up to the top and are often called top down bottom up, upside down, pull up or reverse blinds. In America they call them bottom up shades and we export to them too. In fact as far as we know we are the only dedicated supplier of these kind of blinds in the world.
The great thing about a bottom up blind is that it preserves your privacy from the world outside but at the same time also allows the natural light to come in to your room above the blind and through the material.
Blinds that go UP!
As the name might suggest, bottom up blinds are the reverse and the exact opposite of the normal top down roller blinds. They are installed at the bottom of your window and are pulled up by two cords attached to a “pull bar”. These cords feed and wrap around two discrete pulleys fixed at the top of the window. Because the spring is always tensioned the blind can be lifted, lowered and stopped at any point on the window.
High quality components and fabrics
Unlike some other blind manufacturers we pride ourselves on sourcing the best quality components and materials. We don’t use the paper material often found in honeycomb pull up blinds. We don’t use plastic pull bars and brackets or connect the material using sticky tape. We certainly don’t use big ugly plastic cassettes to contain your bottom up blind.
In fact other than the spring housing, all of our components are high grade aluminium and stainless steel. We also have an extremely high quality fabric selection, carefully sourced from bespoke suppliers and traditional mills in Sweden and throughout Europe. To make sure you know what you are getting, we provide free samples on all of our materials. You can order these online up to a maximum of 10 samples per order.
Bottom Up Blinds – Window Designs
Our blinds can be fixed to almost all window designs. We regularly supply blinds that are fitted to odd shaped windows where a conventional top down blind may not work. They are also very popular in bay windows and even on moving windows and doors.
The best thing about a bottom up blind is you can stop it anywhere you like on the window depending on how much privacy you want. You can also choose from our wide range of blackout materials so they double up very well as a bedroom blind at night.
